Composers often take inspiration from sacred, literary, and traditional texts and our June 21 concert invites you to compare different settings of the same text as a way of appreciating how a composer’s particular lens can colour the way we react to words.

There will be five different texts (in addition to the Latin Mass) and fifteen different settings by composers as diverse as Andrea Gabrieli, Gioachino Rossini and Eriks Esenvalds.
